The Future Science Online Challenge is a project-based creative design program for young people aged10-17. The participating team will need to focus on the specific theme and devise the solution through software programming and hardware construction. The solution will be a demonstration project and a poster with topics including research, design-thinking process, construction scheme, and outcome summary. Participants will have the opportunity to get involved in hands-on practice and showcase their projects.
The competition will be conducted in different phases, which include a local, GCC Level, and a Final competition, all of which will be conducted online keeping in line with the existing Covid-19 protocols.

The AIOT challenge will be launched in August 2021 with the welcoming of AI & IoT projects from gifted students in the Gulf Area. The Competition will be held in the month of November 2021 after which the projects will be assessed based on many criteria. The requirements are as below:

NOTE: Contestants shall participate in teams. Each team is composed of 1 or 2 members and instructed by 1 or 2 mentors. Mentors must be over 18 years old. Students aged 10 to 17 (inclusive) can participate in the competition. The date of birth of the contestants should be between 2004.1.1 – 2012.1.1

The theme for the competition will be SMART FUTURE with diverse categories such as energy, healthcare, smart homes, smart cities and more.
The Virtual Launch of the competition will be on 9th September 2021 followed by project submission and assessment and Virtual Award Ceremony on 18th November 2021.

The participating team should use any open software supporting AI along with any hardware compatible with the chosen software. The teams should have one or two mentors to support and guide them throughout the project for the detailed execution of the same
The awards are given according to the corresponding dimension ranking in the sequence of Best Designer, Best Innovator, Best Engineer and Best Presenter.
In each competition, the top scoring team can win the ” Future Science Challenge Champion ” award (can be received together with one special award).
In addition, the competition specially sets up the following awards for schools or educational organizations that has active student participation.
This award is given to the mentor that organizes competition activities and leads the contestants to carry out a variety of in-depth investigations. Contestants have gained a lot from the learning, research and construction process. The award is comprehensively decided according to the number of contestants and award-winning projects instructed by the same The quota of this award is 3 mentors.
